Eyal was born and raised in the village of Kfar HaRif, a sweet and mischievous child who was lovingly nicknamed "Luli" at home. From a young age, he demonstrated curiosity, determination, and a strong motivation to achieve his goals and dreams. Nothing could distract him from the objectives he set for himself. Eyal loved riding his dirt bike with his father, brother, and cousins, exploring the country's trails, running long distances, jumping into every spring and stream with his friends and his beloved dog, Harley, and seizing every opportunity to enjoy a cup of coffee outdoors. He aspired to perfection and was a persistent individual who always reached his goals—with an irresistible smile, full of joy, and a unique, sharp sense of humor. 

Eyal enlisted in the IDF in August 2019 and served as a combat soldier in the reconnaissance unit of the Nahal Brigade. He loved the unit, his comrades, and his commanders, and he greatly enjoyed the extensive training. During his training, Eyal participated in a sniper course and later in a squad commanders' course. In March 2021, upon completing the course, he was assigned as a squad leader for recruits. A few months later, he advanced to officer training. After completing officer training, Eyal was appointed as a commander in the recruit training program for the multi-domain unit. Later, he served as a platoon commander in the reconnaissance unit’s combat track. 

Eyal deeply loved what he did. 
He was driven by a sense of mission and a deep love for his country, alongside qualities such as integrity, leadership, charisma, courage, composure, and humility. Eyal wrote in his notebook that he believed a commander should challenge, push, and never give up on his soldiers in order to prepare them optimally for war. At the same time, he believed in treating them with respect, as if they were his younger brothers—being patient, sensitive, attentive to their needs, and loving them.

He aspired to be the best fighter on the team, to lead by example, to guide his soldiers, and to always be the first to charge forward. Among his core values, he emphasized love for his country and a strong sense of mission. His soldiers recall that this was exactly the type of commander Eyal was to them. 

Eyal pushed his soldiers to excel and was averse to mediocrity, viewing his role as far more than just training soldiers and preparing them for war. He cared deeply for them, frequently visited their homes, and did everything he could to support those facing challenges.

His soldiers describe him as a man they admired and trusted, seeing him as both a role model and a friend—someone who led with values, professionalism, and an inspiring personality that motivated them toward self-improvement and determination. To motivate them, Eyal would humorously say, "Don’t be a doormat!"
